2008 marks the 90th year of service for the Queensland Health Community Child Health Service and this year’s Conference Dinner will provide the opportunity to look back over the achievements of the past 90 years and celebrate the innovations to come!
The evening will provide attendees the chance to reminisce, network and celebrate with drinks and dinner in the relaxed atmosphere of the Alabaster Room.
In keeping with the collaborative theme, each division is encouraged to participate by providing a slide show of their districts CCHS memories. These will then be screened throughout the evening.
This dinner is a celebration not to be missed!
Special Interest Breakfast "Patient Safety and Quality: The See-Saw of Human Error & System Design Faults"
Presented by: Tricia Farrow
Patient Safety and Quality is a responsibility of all health professionals. There is an increasing emphasis within health service delivery of the need to ensure risk management practice as a core consideration of all clinical and management processes. Between 70%-90% of workplace errors are attributable to human error, but many of these human errors when analysed were actually linked to the design of the systems and contextual factors related to the environment of the workplace.
At this Special Interest Group Breakfast participants will be provided with an evidence based and humanistic perspective on how to identify the symptoms and causes of human error and look at how these can be prevented in your workplace
